Police brutality in the US!

So this is what I mean when I tell you the Police in Rhode Island is brutal, they do have a terrible reputation around New England.
This video really disturbed me, this freaking creep violent cop was found "GUILTY" today and will be sentenced in March.
He can get up to 20 years in jail for kicking this lady in the head!
I say it's a good day for justice in our tiny state!!!! ;)
Don't even get me started on the corrupt cop lying about our fall car accident. UGH!!! That will have a follow up post when we have updates on the story.

Wow, such casual violence from the police is utterly shocking. I hope this guy gets the punishment he deserves.

Is your case still ongoing? Have you recovered from your injury? (sorry, trying to remember if it was back or neck...).

Tom,

People around here are not very fond of the Police, he will get a stiff sentence for sure. Keep in mind we are in the land of the Italian mafia, cops are as close to persona non grata as you can get!! ;)

Holy hell! She kicks him, shoeless, in the leg and he whacks her in the HEAD! Talk about angry aggression on the officer's part. I always thought Rhode Island was one of those peaceful places, like Canada. Wow!

Dear B.A.B.,

Rhode Island is actually peacefull and very safe, thanks to the mafia, nobody messes with us ;)
No, seriosly, we live in super quiet communities, our neighbors never lock doors, we do because we are big city maniac and Gil drives me crazy about the locks. People usually leave their keys in the ignition in their cars and you rarely hear of crime. Now, there is crime in the inner city areas of Providence, but not in the suburbs or in the beach areas.
This specific incident happened at our only Casino, where they get a lot of drunk people causing minor disturbances.
Funny you mentioned Canada, Gil and I were surprised how bad crime is in Toronto. Just to give you an idea, the taxi cabs have a red light in the middle of their trunks with a sign that says, "IF THIS LIGHT IS ON THERE IS A CRIME IN PROGRESS, DIALL 911" really!!! Not the best way to put your tourists at ease. :)

Oops, Tom I am sorry, didn't mean to ignore your question. I was answering after my dinner (with wine ;) ) and didn't notice the second part of your comment.

Thanks for asking, I am getting better every day, one small step at a time. Physical therapy is very good and it's helping me a lot. Lot's of doctor visits and lawyer visits...ugh. It sucks, but it's getting better everyday.

Thanks again for your concern.

Ha ha, after dinner with wine!! No problem Ray - good to hear you're on the mend. I have extra sympathy for you right now as I woke up with an agonising neck over a week ago and it is still pretty uncomfortable today. Back/neck pain really does suck doesn't it? Ah well, at least I don't have to deal with lawyers as well! :)

Yes Tom, I am weak for alcohol, and only do it at home when I can crash into the couch and write posts and have heated argument with evil conservative bastards on facebook :)
