Thank you so much for you...Dear Renato Alves,

Thank you so much for your concern. I was in Brazil during Sandy, Gil was home alone in Rhode Island, como dizemos no Brazil (Com o c. na mao) because our car was parked 38 miles from home at Boston Logan. But we have friends and neighbors who were ready to come rescue Okie and Gilson if things took a turn for the worse. We live one and a half mile from the water.
Good news, no damage to our house what so ever, we didn't even loose power this time around, mainly because the weak trees had been cleaned up by last year's Hurricane... :(
The only effect of Sandy was a big tree branch that felt from the sky right in the middle of our backyard, and it will become firewood.

Abracos
RayAmerican Heart Brazilian Soulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11049937328816904295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660712955365418154.post-57649195729866053692012-11-24T00:37:32.061-05:002012-11-24T00:37:32.061-05:00Toby,

And she said: "There are so many poor children here, so many problems, why do the government need to help others when most of the world do hate us?" This really got me thinking, and I think that I have to agree with her. And I think this is another problem when you want to be the police, you not only have to fight everywhere, but help.Karinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08590427278076158994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660712955365418154.post-34390703508088316422012-10-13T21:20:44.156-04:002012-10-13T21:20:44.156-04:00Wow, what a nice story. I nearly cried, no joke.

As for Europe, it depends on where you go but you can totally get garlic from China if you want to. LOL Well, here in my country, we mostly get Spanish garlic though... haven't seen the Chinese one for more than a year. Come to think of it, maybe they stopped importing it. Which would be the better option coz that garlic tastes like old socks in bitter sweet&sour sauce (not that I would know how that tastes like but my imagination is wild!)

Can't wait to know more about your trip!!! bjs JelaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660712955365418154.post-14327234708634758412012-10-12T01:54:29.141-04:002012-10-12T01:54:29.141-04:00Ha!
